Career Opportunities in Kenya: Find Job Opportunities

Well this post is not about making money online. It is more about how you can use the world wide web to search for Job opportunities. Many companies in Kenya are no longer accepting job applications on paper. It is a tedious process. Many are also not advertising on the dailies. Nearly everything nowadays happens online.

If you are looking for a bright career then you need to go online to find it. The problem with online advertisements is that you can easily miss it. If it was a blog post it will no longer be visible on the homepage of the blog as soon as the blogger publishes the next post.

To ensure that you never miss a thing, you need to do the following:
  • Find several job search websites or blogs out there which you can trust. There are so many scams out there and you don't want somebody making away with your last shilling and you at the end of the day get no job.
  • Subscribe to posts via email- This means job posts will be send to your email and you won't miss a thing. It might clutter your inbox so it would be a good idea to get an email account specifically for that purpose.
  • Be on the look out for job opportunities- Keep searching for career opportunities. Check your mail everyday. That can be accessed via your phone. Cyber cafe charges are 50 cents a minute so you have no excuse.
  • Blogging to a bright career- Know lots of stuff about your field of study or specialization? Why not blog about it. If you are good at it, you might find employers looking for you instead of you having to look for them. You can even start this while in college. Getting a blog is free at Blogger or WordPress.
Finding a job in Kenya is getting harder everyday. Competition keeps on increasing. You have to think outside the box to succeed.
